- SCHOOLING DAYS.
Daniel started primary
education at the Cape Coast Methodist Primary school from class two (instead of
the usual class one) why? Because the Headmaster Graham found him to be too
intelligent for the lower class. And Master Graham and son, teacher Graham were
not disappointed. For class teacher Hanna would always be leaping praises at
him. At age 8, Daniel captained the Methodist Primary school in a soccer match
to defeat the local P. Quicooo (or Roman?) school in which he scored the winning
goal of which he made a lot of friends including a later to be famous trumpeter
called Hammond whom he will later meet in the army. Being a child of policeman,
Daniel would travel with his widower father more than his two brothers and in
the process be changing schools. From Accra, to Cape Coast, Swedru, Wineba, Akim
Oda, Kumasi, Domaah Ahenkoro, Tamale and other places but finally Daniel would
complete his elementary schooling at the Ghana National School, Accra and follow
it up at New Era Secondary school till the end.
